Senior Advisor to the President Meets with the Representatives of the World Intellectual Property Organization

The Senior Advisor to the President of Mongolia, P. Tsagaan, met with the World Intellectual Property Organization representatives, who are at the beginning stage of their National Intellectual Property Strategy Development Project for Mongolia.

Senior Advisor of Project Management, Mrs. Francesca Toso, and Senior Counselor of the Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Bureau for Asia and the Pacific, Mr. Jie Liu, as well as the Head of Mongolia’s Intellectual Property Office, Mr. N. Chinbat were present at the meeting.

Advisor Tsagaan informed the representatives that the President of Mongolia as well as his Office fully support the WIPO’s National Intellectual Property Strategy Development Project for Mongolia. Mr. Tsagaan also noted that “As much as the Mongolian economy has been steadily growing in the past few years by the virtue of her natural resources, the role of the protection of intellectual property is of much significance when it comes to the proper development of the country. Thus, I wish you great success in implementing the project as well as express my hope that you all will put much emphasis on the practical implementation of the project both during and after the project.”

At the conclusion of the meeting, the World Intellectual Property Organization representative Mrs. Toso expressed her gratitude for the support of the Office of the President and stated that she is very much satisfied with the result of her visit to Mongolia.
