Speech by His Excellency Tsakhia Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia, at the State Reception in Honor of the 804 th Anniversary of the Great Mongol State, 89th Anniversary of the People’s Revolution and the 20 th Anniversary of Democratic Revolution

Dear guests,

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

On this felicitous occasion, I sincerely thank you for coming to the reception hosted in honor of the 804th anniversary of the establishment of the Great Mongol State and of the 89th anniversary of the People’s revolution, and offer my best wishes for happiness and wellbeing.

This year Mongolia cordially celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Democratic Revolution. And the next year shall mark the 2220th anniversary of the founding of the First State of Mongol – the Hunnu State, the 805th anniversary of the establishment of the Great Mongol State and the 100th centennial of the National Revolution for Independence/Freedom.

We, the contemporary Mongolians, are charged with an esteemed mission to carry on the mandate to aspire prosperous future dwelling on the fame, integrity and wisdom our history confers to us. And this mission is ought to fulfill thanks to our collective will, holding dear the Mongol culture, traditions and the wishes of our people.

This year’s Naadam is being thoroughly enjoyed by all. Since the Naadam of the past year, our society has withstood many important economic and political challenges. And we’ve made historic decisions and achieved success, and quite substantial. Mongolia’s relations and cooperation with the nations around the globe and international organizations as well are expanding, and our international reputation is growing.

On the occasion of Mongolia’s National Day, I extend my profound gratitude to our fellow Mongolians and our foreign friends for constructive engagement, cooperation and support you rendered for Mongolia’s development and prosperity.

Now allow me to raise this toast:

- to the development, prosperity and future wellbeing of Mongolia
- to the happy and healthy life of my people
- and to the good health and success of you, dear ladies and gentlemen.
